HousingCounts: A Resource to Support a Full Range of Housing Choices in Minnesota

Housingcounts.org is an online platform to provide technical expertise, data resources and support to community stakeholders to implement an ambitious housing agenda and market interventions that respond to the affordable housing needs of the region. This tool also helps developers to understand local market interventions around affordable housing.

Through coordinated work with partners and allies, the Housing Counts Initiative builds on and aligns existing resource in a new way for greater impact and helps amp up efforts to increase affordable housing options throughout the Minneapolis/St. Paul (MSP) region.

Why Now?

Regional leaders through the Regional Council of Mayors have a unique opportunity to create a culture of impact that drives positive change in supporting a full range of housing choices while increasing regional economic prosperity.

This can be accomplished through sound policy, intentional practice and strong leadership. By working together, cities in the region will be better informed, more effective and efficiently prepared to adjust to demographic changes and market shifts.
